Are Friends Electric?

Are Friends Electric? takes seminal ‘80s British electronic songs as its muse, in all their urban paranoia and kitchen-sink camp.

This print series was specially created for the “Are Friends Electric? Studies in Neon” group show at Espacio Gallery, London, in 2021.

Songs by The Art of Noise, Pet Shop Boys, New Order, Eurythmics and Tubeway Army are featured. In keeping with the synthetic soundscapes that inspired them, they are rendered in metallics and Day-Glo neons that recapture the thrilling shock and newness of hearing these tracks for the first time.
